Chapter 11: Talking To Greece

When Jon left the restaurant and Pauline take her eyes off his money maker she turned her head back to the table. "I think that i need a whiskey!" Pauline said. "No, Pauline the water is fine!" her dad answered her. "Ok, i was just kidding!" "Excuse me only me noticed that Jon was here?" Zeta asked. "No, i notice that too." Katerina replied. "Me too!" Kostas said. "How about you Pauline? Do you think that you're dead and went in Heaven?" Zeta asked her sister waiting for her answer. "Of cource and i notice that Jon was here. I talk to him. I hug him. I took a picture with him and you tell me if i notice him!" was Pauline's answer. "Axually you can't notice him! He is really good looking!" Katerina admit "Mum? I thought that you didn't like him!" Pauline said supriced "I don't like the obssesion you have with him. But as for a man i like him!" "Mum don't make any plans! He's married!" "I know that..." Katerina said a little sad. "But don't worry i don't think that you'll see him again!" Pauline said. "Oh1 Yeah and what makes you think that?" "Because you don't like the band so you don't see him again. But i'll defendlly see him again!" Pauline said with a smile. "Ok ladies enough with Bon Jovi!" Kostas said. "Dad Bon Jovi is the BAND Jon Bon Jovi is the SINGER of the band! You just met him! Jesus!" Pauline explain to her dad. "Ok, i get it! Now let's go back home!" Kostas said and pay the bill leaving behind him a luxourious tip.

They left JBJ Soul Kitchen and went back to their home. They get in the car. The first 5 minutes none of them say anything but Pauline have to ask "Dad, mum where did you find him?" "Find who honey?" her dad asked "Come on dad! Tell me!" "We didn't find him. He found us!" Katerina answer. "Hold on a momment! You'll telling me that he called us home and said 'Hi i'm Jon Bon Jovi i know that your daughter Pauline has her birthday today. Do you want to come to my restaurant. I'll be there!' ?" "We don't even know that he'll come!" Katerina said. "You're very lucky Pauline! Really we didn't plan anything! It all happend by luck!" Katerina added. "Ok, then."

The next day Pauline post the photo of her and Jon on facebook. After 2 minutes her phone rung.

It was her 'Jovi' sister Maria. "Now, tell me where did you saw him. When and how!" Maria said before Pauline said anything. "Good morning to you Maria!" "Now tell me!" "I met him yesterday in my birthday in Soul Kitchen. I was in the bathroom and when i came back i saw him talking with my parents." "And then?" "And then he told me happy birthday and huged me!" "And then you fainted and called an ambulance!" "Of course not! We sut down together and ate my birthday cake!" "That's all?" "No, he also told me that i was so calm and i'm one the calmest fans he ever met and he's proud that they have fans like me! Now i'm finished!" "Are you kidding me?" "Oh! I almost forgot it! Zeta took us the picture. She acted like David Bergman!" "Ok, ok! I need a cold bath right now!" "Hahaha!" "Now let's get to the point!" "what do you mean?" "I mean you're a lot time of and some things have changed!" "You're scearring me!" "It's Richie!" "Oh my God is he ok?" "Yeah! He is fine!" "I got it he is getting married. I knew it and who is the lucky bitch?" "Pauline shut up and let me tell you what happened!" "Ok i shut my mouth up!" "He is moving to New Jersey!" "What? But why?" "Because they guys live in NJ and NY and he lives in LA. And he want to be close to them and not in the other side of the country!" "How do you know that?" "I saw some pics on his twitter with lots of suitcases and he said 'It's time to get where i belong.' So he is in NJ!" "When did he post that?" "Three days ago!" "Mmm! That means tommorow or the day after tommorow he'll be in NJ!" "Yes, i think so. So get ready you're the lucky one! You met Jon now is Richie's turn!" Maria said exited for her friend. "No, i don't think so! I'm not lucky enough to meet Richie..." Pauline said sad. "Hey, i'm sure we'll meet him. You get in the centre of Athens just to find where he went to get the picture and i remember that you was looking for it 3 hours. And you tell me that you're not lucky enough to meet him! You're in NJ and he'll be in NJ. You are in the same fucking city!" "Ok, i guess you're right!" "That's it so smile! And something last when the school starts?" "Oh God i almost forgot them! Why did you remember that to me?" "Don't tell me that you're nervous about it?" "A little bit!" "Are you nuts? You met Jon and you were calm and you're getting nervous about the fucking school?" "Yes, but is not the same! I don't be with my friends..." "You'll make new ones! You're really good making new friends. Plus we have friends all over the world and you talk to them everyday. And it doen't matter that you'll never meet them." "Is like our relantioship! We lived in the same city. We have the same obssesion and we never met each other!" "Yeah, that's true. I have a feeling about you!" "What kind of feelling?" "I think that you'll meet your love of your life!" "Hahaha! And how did you jumped in this conclusion?" "I saw i dream with you. You we were in the school wearing red clothes. And then you were in a party and you met someone that he looks so familiar but i don't know from where!" "Ok, i don't think that i'll meet my love of my life now!" "Believe in your dreams cause if you don't who will?" "Yeah i know that but..." "There not buts! Jon knows more that we do. he has a reason to tell that! End of conversation!" "Alright!" "Now i'll leave you sweetie! Take care out there..." "You too! Bye!" Pauline said and hung up her phone.

"Maria is right i have to believe in my dreams! And one of them yesterday came true. Meet Jon Bon Jovi. I'm lucky..."  Pauline thought looking at a poster of Jon.

Pauline's mobile phone rung again. It was Amalia. "Hey Paul what's up?" "I am fine! I was talking to my 'Jovi' sister two minutes ago! How about you?" "I'm good too! So what do you think about NJ?" "I love it! The town i live is not big is like out town! There is a big mall. Twice in size than that we hace in Athens!" "Whooah! That sounds big!" "Yeah, is really big i get lost more that three times the last time went there!" "I miss you..." "I miss you too!" "I miss you jokes, your smile, your laugh and of course your volley playing!" "I miss that too. Is harder than i thought. You're in Greece and i'm here." "I didn't want you to leave." "I didn't want that too! But i have to" "I don't blame you!" "Hey! Smile you have a turnament to win!" "It would not be that same without you!" "It would not be the same for me either. Do you remember that T-shirt you gave me the Easter 'Keep calm and smile like Jon'?" "I remember that!" "Alright, so you remember do the same and i'll do that too!" "I'll try!" "And i'm sure that you would make it! Now i have to go the dinner is ready we'll talk an another time" "Ok bye" " I love you!" "I love you too babe" Pauline said and hung up the phone.

She lied to her. Dinner wasn't ready. She know that Amalia is right. She miss them more than she could ever imagine. That was the first time she heard Amalia talk like that and that make her sad. She dowsn't want to make her friends sad but she couln't do nothing to make them happy when she was on the other side of the world.

Chapter 10: Calmiest Fan Ever

Jon walked into his restaurant and said hello to everybody who is sitting in the first tables. He noticed that they are eatting cake and the menu has not cake. "Samantha will have her birthday today! But i thought that her birthday are on December! Anyway" he thought. "Hey, Samantha!" Jon said and gave her a big hug. Samantha was supriced. "Happy birthday darlin'!!" he said and kissed her cheecks. "Thanks, but my bierthday are on 17th of December! You have to wait a little..." Samantha answered him. "Oh! I'm so sorry but when i went in a saw pepole eatting cake and we don't serve cakes!" "Yeah! You see that table in the corner?" Samantha said pointing her hand to Pauline's table. "Yeah i can see them!" "That little girl has her birthday today!" "Oh ok Sam thanks! I'm goining to talk to her!" Jon said and left Samantha alone.

In Pauline's table her mum saw Jon entering the restaurant and keep talling to herselg not to came to their table because when come back and see Jon she didn't know how Pauline would react. But her prayers didn't came true. Jon was on his way to their table.

"Hello, my name is Jon!" Jon said. "Hello Jon! I'm Kostas here is my wife Katerina and there is our daughter Zeta!" Kostas intoduce his family. "Nice to meet you all. So, Zeta it's your birthday today huh?" Jon asked sure about the answer but Zeta supriced him by her answer. "No, Jon i had my birthday almost one month ago! My sister Pauline has her birthday today. She is in the bathroom right now!" Zeta inform Jon.

Pauline was walking to the hallway and she could her her family talking to one male but his voice was not so clear. The hallway ended in front of her table. She raised her eyes to see who was talking to her family and she saw Jon. "Oh my God! What Jon doing here? Pauline stay calm! Pauline stay calm! No relax and take some deep breaths. Fuck it! Let's go and be brave and remember don't freack the fuck out!" Pauline tried to relax herself and took three deep breaths and went to her table. Before she arrives to the table Jon turned his head and looked her in her eyes. " Oh Gosh! He is more sexier in front of you!" she thought and went to her table.

"You must be Pauline?" Jon asked when Pauline stopped in front of him. "How do you know my name Mr Bongiovi?" Pauline asked him and tried not to scream. "Your sister told me that you have your birthday today, right?" Jon asked afraid of her answer. "Yes, that's right!" Pauline answered to him. Without even know how Pauline was in Jon's arms and she was hugging him. She could smell his perfume. "Damn he is smeeling so fucking great". She was sure she could stay here forever but they have to broke apart. "Happy birthday!" Jon said and he smiled at her with the smile that kill thousands of women. "Thank you Mr Bongiovi." "Please do my a favour stop calling me MR BONGIOVI! Jon is better!" "Ok Jon!" "Good! You don't mind if i sit with you?" Jon asked. "No, i don't mind at all!" Pauline asnwered to him. Jon took a chair from the next table and shut down next to Pauline. "Do you want cake?" Pauline asked him holding in her hands a piece of cake. She has already noticed that there was an extra peice on their table. "I would love to but you didn't eat your piece!" "Yes, i don't but there is an extra piece!" "Ok, then!" Jon answered and took a plate and start eatting. "Mhh! This cake is awesome!" Jon said after ate the first bite. "Did you cook that?" Jon asked looking at Pauline. "No, my mum cooked!" Pauline asnwered him and Jon turned and told to Katerina "Katerina that cake is so delicious! Do you want to give me the recipe?" "Do you cook?" Katerina asked very supriced. "I cook when i'm on the road. But i prefere to eat them not to cook them!" Jon said and laughed with Pauline. "Sure!" Katerina said.

Jon pulled out from his pocket a piece of paper and a pen and gave them to Katerina. "Before you left gave it to Samantha" Jon said and continue eatting his cake. "So, do you guys are from here?" "No, we're from Greece. We moved out almost 3 months ago." Pauline answerd to his question. "Oh! You know that we gave a concert there we have a great time didn't we?" Pauline before answer she looked her parents in their eyes and said "I'm sure you did!" "Oh! Pauline i'm so sorry about it! I didn't know it!" Jon said and took his hand to Pauline's shoulder. "It's ok Jon you don't have to. It's been one year i have to overcome it! So tell me did you like the show?" "Yes, it was good! Look Pauline i'm really amazed! I mean you are so calm and you don't do like others fans. When i saw you coming from the hallway i was afraid and i didn't know how you would react. But when i looked in your beatiful brown eyes i felt like i know you. You looked at me very supriced! And i was supriced too when you called me Mr Bongiovi! That's why i huged you because i knew that you'll stay calm. And i'm really proud that we have fans like you!" Jon finished and all the the time he was talking was looking Pauline in her eyes. "Well, thank you! And by the way you have beautiful eyes too!" Pauline said and smiled. "Thank you!" Jon answered. Then his mobile phone rung and he pick it up. He didn't talk to much when he hung up he said "I would like to stay more with you but a dad works 24 hours a day!" Jon said and looked at Kostas "Yes, they do!" "Jon can i ask you something?" Pauline asked "Sure!" "Do you want to take a picture with me?" Pauline asked. "Of course and i do! Do you have a camera or a phone?" "Yes, i do!" Pauline said and took her phone. "I'll do that! Give me your mobile!" Zeta said and took Pauline's mobile. "Now Jon move a little more in you left! And Pauline do the same!" Zeta said with the director style.

"I told you that i like your sister?" Jon said. "No, you don't but you are lucky that you haven't a sister! Trust me!" "Ok, i trust you!" Jon said and smiled in the camera. "Great! One more... Pauline smile like Jon!" Zeta said and took some pictures. "Alright that's it!" Zeta said. "Ok David Bergman!" Pauline said and Jon laughed. "You look good when you smile!" Jon said while he was looking at the pictures. "Thanks! You too" Pauline replied.

Jon was about to leave when Pauline's voice stopped him "Hey Kidd! Tell Rich, Lemma and Teek i said hi!" Pauline said. "Be sure about that!" Jon answered her and left the restaurant. Pauline take a look to his money maker. But she didn't looked at it for a long time because she was with her parents and she was in  public!

Chapter 9: Is Her Sister

Pauline's birthday have arrived. Pauline was sleeping in her bedroom when her sister open the door slowly, she doesn't want to wake her up for now, she walked next to her bed she saw her sleeping. She put a mask with Richie's face on it. She sut down next to her and she start moving her arm up and down in Pauline's arms. Zeta tried to make her voise sound like Richie's and she wipsered "Hey, darlin' wake up! You slept enough Princess we have some businessto do!" Zeta said and she tried so hard not to laugh. "Dad i want to sleep! Leave me alone" Pauline said and turn to the other side of the bedroom. "Hey girl i'm not your dad. I'm Richie!" "Richie? No Richie is in LA!" "No darlin' i'm here turn around!" When Zeta-Richie- finished the sentense Pauline turn around and she saw Richie-Zeta-. "AAAAAAAA!! Oh my fucking Jovi! What are you doing here?" Pauline yelled. Zeta put her mask down and started laughing like crazy. "Zeta when i have you in my arms you'll be dead. So better run if you don't want to die today!!" Pauline said and gave her sister the famous 'stink eye'.

 Zeta start running and screaming "HEEEEELLPPPP!!" behind her Pauline running "I'll kill YOOOUUU!" Pauline yelled. Zeta went straight to her mother's hug and Pauline stop in front of them. "Pauline tell me what is going on! NOW" her mum asked suriously. "You better ask Zeta or better Richie Sambora in female edition!" Pauline said. "Pauline what are you talking about! And who is Richie Sambora?" her mum asked. "Is the laed guitarist of Bon Jovi and my little sister!" she answered to her mother. "You're not helping me!" "That guy over the table in bedroom and in the closet!" "Oh! Now is much better! And now Richie.... i mean Zeta what have you done?" "Nothing!" Zeta said with the puppy face. "Have you heard her? Nothing is coming in my bedroom while i was sleeping wearing a mask with Richie's face and you talk to me as Richie? And now i think that you can do better than that. You need more practise, moth!" Pauline expaine to her mother. "Zeta is that true?" "Well, yes it is mum. But Pauline come on admit you thought that i was Richie! Please tell me that you thought i was Richie!!" "Ok ok! I thought that you were Richie! And to be honest i sceared for a momment! You did it good!" Pauline admit. "You're not mad at me?" "No, i'm not mad. But don't you never and when i say never i mean NEVER do that again at least when i'm sleeping! Did i make myself clear Richard Stephen Sambora?" "Yes.... Happy birthday!" Zeta said and huged her sister. "You did all this to tell me happy birthday?" "Yeah, it's the best idea i've ever had!" "Ok, i would not comment that! Thanks anyway!" Pauline answers. "Come on let's eat! I'm hungry!" Zeta said and went to the kitchen. "But Zeta you're always hungry!" "That's not true!" "Yes, it is!" Katerina said from the other side of the kitchen.

Lunch time! Katerina had made Pauline's favourite food, steak with barbecue sauce and potatoes. They all sut down in the table and start eatting. They finished their lunch and noone said anything about presents and Pauline was sad about it. "If they forget it? But Zeta told me happy birthday. No, mum and dad would never forget my birthday! But don't worry everything is gonna be good!" Pauline told to herself.

Kostas at 18.00 left the house and went to JBJ Soul Kitchen with Pauline's cake. They'll come again 2,5 hours later for the big suprice.

Kostas left the cake and went back home. He let Katerina know that everything is alright and then they went to the pool to have a bath.

Pauline was in her room chatting with her friends on facebook. She miss them a lot and she want them to be here for her and not million miles away. She knows that she can't do nothing about that she have to accept her new life.

Katerina watched her watch in her arm and told to Kostas. "It's time Kostas! Go to her room and tell her. But don't tell her where we're going!" "Katerina i know! I'm not 10 years old you know!" "Ok, sorry! Come on move your ass and go!"

Kostas left the pool and went to her daughter's room. "Hey Pauline what are you doing?" "Nothing special just chatting with friends and listening to music!" "Oh! What do you think of going out for dinner?" "That sounds good! I hope is not fast food!" "Hell no! It's a restaurant and one of the bests in town!" "What's the name?" "I don't remember it! You'll see it! Come on wear something nice!" "Ok dad see you down in 20 minutes!" "Ok, we'll be waiting!" Kostas aid and left his daughter's room.

Pauline went straight to the shower. When she finished with her shower she opened the closet and start looking at it. She doesn't know what to wear and her dad didn't say where they are going. So she deciad to wear a pair of jeans and and i white shirt with purple letters. The shirt matches pergectly with her all-star.  Then she went to the bathroom to wash her teeth. She puts a little of her perfume. Took her i-phone with her and left her room.

Downstairs Kostas, Katerina and Zeta were waiting her in the living room. Then they all get in the car and Kostas drove them to JBJ Soul Kitchen. When they left Kostas parked the car outside of a barbure's shop. "What we'll do on a burbure's shop? I don't want to have my hair cut!" Pauline asked supriced. "No, sweety we are not going to the barburue's shop we're going there!" Kostas said pointing with his hand the other side of the road. Pauline turned her head. Yes, it true! She is in JBJ Soul Kitchen. "You're kidding right?" "No, Pauline! I want to do this because we didn't let you go to the concert and are really sorry about that!" "Ok, mum stop it's ok! It take some time to watch the videos in YouTube but i'll do it someday!" Pauline stopped her mother. "Ok, now can we go inside? I'm starving!" "Come on Rich let's go!" Pauline teassed her sister! "Now, you'll call me Rich?" "Yeah! Do you prefere Richie Rich or Richard?" "Mmm let me think! I prefere ZETAAAA!!" "Ok, i'll call you Zeta"

They walked in the sut on the table that Kostas reserved. A young lady took their orders. Pauline took a steak with potatoes, what else? Zeta took Chicken Fillet with white sauce. Katerina took the same. And Kostas ordered pasta.

They ate their food and sung the happy birthday song to Pauline. Pauline gave to all costomers of the restaurant a piece of her cake. When she sut down to her table she drunk two glasses of water. "Oh! Excuse me for a second i'm going to the bathroom!" Pauline left her table and went to the bathroom.

When Pauline was in the bathroom someone enterd to the restaurant. The someone was Jon Bon Jovi!!

Chapter 8: Keep It Secret

Zeta's birthday have finaly arrived. The pool party started at 14.00. It was almost 12.00 when Zeta went downstairs to the kitchen. Here were her mother, her father and her sister. " Happy birthday moth!" Pauline said and Zeta gave her an evil look. She hate that nickname that Pauline found for her. "I mean Zeta..." Pauline added with a smile and gave her a big hug. " Thanks!" " Happy birthday little girl!" Kostas said. "Thanks dad but now i'm big girl." "It doesn't matter! You always be my little girl!" her dad said and gave her a hug and a kiss. "My girl is 14 from now..." her mum said and tried to hide her tears. "Relax mum i'm not 64!!" Zeta anwer to her mother. "I know that but you grow up too fast!" "Hey! Only Zeta is growing up fast?" "Shut up Pauline! With you is different!" " Because i'm the firt kid?" "Yes, but you grown faster than Zeta!" her mum said and hug her firt daughter.

14.05 their guests have arrived and went staright to the pool with the girls. Everyone was wearing swimming suits! The kids were playing in the pool and the parents were sitting on a table by the pool talking about every kind of subject. Katerina went to the kitchen to make some burgers. She was fast! When came back the kids just sut on the table waiting for food. When they finished with the food it was time for the birthday cake. They all sung the birthday song and ate a large piece of the cake.

When their guest were gone it was time for the presents! "Here is my present i hope you like it!" Pauline said and gave her the present. She opened the little bag and she saw box. She opened the box and it was a white i-pod. "You get me an i-pod?" "Yeah! I didn't know what else i'll buy you. And you didn't have one so i bought it! You like it?" "No, i don't like it! I love it!" she said and huged her sister. "I'm glad you like it" Pauline said and a smile apearred in her face. 

"Here is from mum and dad!" Katerina said and gave her an another bag. She slowly put her hand in the bag and she saw a mobile phone. "OMG! Is this for me?" Zeta asked. "Yes, darlin' is all yours!" her dad answer to her question. "You know that you are old enough to have a phone and Pauline had a phone in the same age!" her mum added. Zeta was surcised for the momment. That was her best birthday she have ever have.


August 1st. Pauline has birthday in 12 days.

Katerina and Kostas were sitting on the table next to the pool. Zeta and Pauline were in their beds and sleeping. That was the perfect time to talk about their daughter birthday. "So, what are you thinking?" Kostas asked. "I'm thinking that Pauline has her birthday in 12 days and i want to do something special." "Do you have something in your mind?" Kostas asked his wife but he already knows the answer. "Yes, i do! I was thinking about going to a restaurant and celebrate her birthday there!" "And this is something special?" Kostas asked. "We're not going to any radnom restaurant we're going to JBJ Soul Kitchen!" Katerina said with a smile. "What is that?" " Is Jon Bon Jovi's Community Restaurant. I asked Tom today and he said that is really good and is not far away from here!" "Well that is special. She always wanted to go there." " Yes, i know!" "But how you dicieted that. I mean you don't want to hear their names!" "That's true. But when we didn't let her go the concert in Athens she didn't talk to us for 2 months or so. And i want make this up. She'll be real supriced! Plus this could make me feel better." "Ok, honey! I'll phone them tommorow to book a table. Do you have the phone mumber?" "Yes, i have it!" 

Tommorow afternoon Kostas phone JBJ Soul Kitchen. Pauline, Zeta and Katerina were in the pool. He has the time. "Hello, JBJ Soul Kitchen. How can i help you?" a women voise answer the phone. "Hello, i want to make a reservation on 13th of August. A table for four!" "Hold on a second Sir." the woman voise said. This momment Kostas freeze." What the fuck? Please tell me that they are not cloce! Please tell me that they are not close"  Kostas thought. "Hello, are you still there Sir?" "Yes, i am! There is a problem?" "No, i just didn't know if we're open on 13th but we're open. So don't worry." the woman said and Kostas felt relief more than ever. "Can i ask you something?" "Of cource!" "My daughter has birthday that day and i'm wonder if you can keep the birthday cake in your kitchen." "Sure! Keep calm we'll take care of it!" "Ok, i came over that day in the afteroon to bring the cake. It's a suprice! You know!" " Yes, i know! How old is she?" "She turns to 15!" "Oh! Please leave me your name to make the resarvation!" "Kostas Timson." "Ok Mr Timson. See you on 13th! Bye" "Thank you very much! Bye" he hung up the phone and singed. 

The last minute of the conversation Zeta was there and when her dad hung up the phone she asked him " Who you'll see on 13th dad?" asked with a devil look in her eyes. "Zeta? How long have you been there?" "Enough to hear what i wanted!" "Oh! You think that i have a girlfriend and i'll see her in Pauline's birthday?" "Yes, this is what i think." "No darlin'. I'll tell you but be carefull this is a secret. In Pauline's birthday we'll go to JBJ Soul Kitchen but do not tell that to your sister." "And what we'll do there?" "We'll play volley! We'll eat! Fucous Zeta!" "Ok sorry dad i was all the time under the water!" Zeta apologied. "It's ok but remember do not tell that to Pauline!" "Mum knows about that?" "Basically was her idea!" "Really? Mum made a lot of progress!" "Yes" "Ok, i'm gonna have a bath. See ya!" Zeta said and left the room.

Pauline was in the pool she just totally forgot that in a few days she has her 15th birthday. She enjoyed the cold water of the pool talking with her mum. She has no idea what her parents preparing for her birthday!!

Chapter 7: The Birthday

Wednesday July 11, 2012 ...

Like all jovinators know what is on 11 July and so Pauline got up early in the morning thing that she didin't do it especially when she had nothing else to do. She dressed up and went down to the kitchen to get the breakfast. Her parents were startled to see her awake at this hour even Zeta was asleep. "How you woke up so early today?" asked mom. "I do not know rather I had satiated sleep and woke up!" replied stand for Pauline. She  said nothing that one of  her idols has birthday today. Her parents and especially her mother didn't allow her to talk in front of her about Bon Jovi because once she start she can't stop! She didn't even mention their names when she was in the same room!  

    

Finished breakfast and get up over her room. It was 11.00 other days at this hour should be  asleep but today was not an ordinary day was the birthday of Richie!!!!

She opened her new laptop and sung in on facebook. On facebook she made a page about Bon Jovi. This day was deticated to Richie so she start posting his photos. It was still morning but there are a few people on-line and the likes started. As time passed she post more and more pictures of Richie.

In chat she found her 'Jovi sister', so she called her, it doesn't matter that they have never met each other but they have something in common, their love for Bon Jovi and for Richie. They also have a big difference. Pauline have not seen them live. That was her big  complaining and unhappiness. 

She still remembers that day whe she saw in www.bonjovi.com that they will come to Greece in 20/07/2011. She said straight to her mother but her responce was "We'll see." Pauline was sure that they will let her go and she was so sure about this. She doesn't care if she was in the first raw or the last. She just wanted to see them live. This didn't happened! She didn't talk to her parents for over 2 months. She was crying all day hoping that would change their minds. But she couldn't. The day of the concert she was in her room and she didn't speak to none because nobody would unterstand her. From this day she didn't see a picture og that day and of course didn't hear any of the songs that they played that day. In 9 days will past one year from the corncert.

The time passed and her 'Jovi sister' had sent a birthday wish to Richie. She didn't wait for him to answer her but the move is that who counts! Pauline has not a twitter account and she didn't want to have one because she didn't understand how this works! 

Noon in Red Bank and the Timsons' were eating their lunch. "Zeta in a week is you birthday!" her mum said. "Yeah, i know that" Zeta replied. "It would be a nice idea to have a party and invite the neighbors. What's you think?" "That sounds perfect! Let's do this." "We can also do the party by the pool and eat  barbecue!" "Awesome!" said more enthusiastic than ever and continue eating her food. Kostas and Pauline not fiddled in this and left the mother with her daughter to arrange it as they wanted.

3 days left for Zeta's birthday and Pauline had not decited what present should she buy for her sister. She knew what Zeta like but she want to be something special. So, the same day she went to the mall to buy the perfect presnt for her only sister. She went to lots of shops but she couldn't find what she wanted. She found a store with electronics. The truth is that Zeta doesn't like technology and Pauline thought that an i-pod to listening to music would be awesome! They didn't have in pink so she bought the white one that it was also good. She payed and went out of the store. Opposite was Starbucks. So she bought a strawberry milkshake!

Next stop was a bookstore to buy a nice bag, and ribbon to decorate gift.

With bags in hand again went to the bus stop and waited. Arrived home at 21.30 exactly the time Katerina prepares dinner thankfully Zeta was not in the kitchen and she could to tell her parents abour the present of Zeta.

"Zeta is upstairs?" Pauline asked. "Yes, she is but why are you asking anyway?" her dad answer. " I went and bought her a birthday present!" she said and pointing the bags. "What have bought her?" her mum asked. " I bought her an i-pod to listen to music! I'm going upstairs i don't want to see me!" she answered qiuckly and went to her bedroom.

Furnunately Zeta was in her room ans she didn't see Pauline. She put her sister's present in her closet and went to the kitchen to have dinner all together.When they finished wither dinner they sut in the couches to watch TV. But there is nothing to watch! Pauline found a volleyball game and it just started. The 2 girls love volleyball and they have to learn the terminology in Eniglish and this would be a nice practise. Their parents had take care of finding them a good team to continue doing what they love to do and keeping fit. The trainnings started on 10th September in the same day with school. Double sock for the Timson sisters. The match end at 00.15 and all went to sleep.

Chapter 6: The Classic Greek Mother

The first day in NJ has just begun! All woke up relatively early and went to the kitchen to have breakfast and then we started their shopping. Tom had brought from the morning a few donuts, coffee and milk. After finishing the breakfast they went to their rooms to get ready and leave. He was dressed simply. Got into the car and Tom took them in NY! 

It was 10.30 in the morning and did not have much traffic on road and reached more quickly than they expect. The storefront was huge and had everything inside and even clothes! We had plenty of time to see more and to choose the things we need for their home. When they arrived at the shop Tom parked the car  said to Kostas " Mr Timson this came this morning for you" said and gave him an envelope.  " Thank you very much Tom" said and opened the envelope as Tom walked into the car and left. ¨ When you finished shopping  call me and i'll pick you up." Tom said and left.

Zeta and Pauline were already get in the store and lost in the countless corridors of  the shop. Katerina and Kostas walked on the way to get in the shop. "Would you open it?" "Yeah, i'll open it now!" Kostas said and he opened the envelope. The folder was inside 3 gold credit card and a letter. Costas took the letter and started reading. "Kostas what the letter says?" "It says that these are our credict cards one for you and me and one for Pauline. They are gold and they have not a limit. Plus this is our bank account and whatever expensive we bought we can pay it from here." "What???" "Yeah, it also say that tommorow we have to go to the city hall for our IDs and for our  driving licenses and enjoy the shopping!" "This is perfect! Come on now let's find the kids!" "Ok let's go." they both said and went to the store.

The store was begger that they could ever imagine. They hadn't stores like this in Greece and they are not familiar but they have to get used to it! After a few minitues the Timson family was seperate and everyone had gone to a different part of the store. Kostas went to the garden furniture, Katerina in kitchen items and Pauline with Zeta in species for bedrooms.The two girls were together and they had gotten already a stroller to put the things that they would like to buy.

Pauline's phone rung. "Hello mum!" "Pauline where are you? You father and i are worried" "Calm down mum i'm with Zeta and we're looking for some decoratives for our rooms don't worry and go check out something for the kitchen. If you want us something give me a call, alright?" "Ok, and be carefull and don't talk to strangers and first of all don't fight with anyone!" "Ok mum we'll be carefull bye!" she said and hung up the phone. "That was mum right?" "Who else will tell us all this?" "Yeah, you're right! OMG look at that come on let's go to see them!" Zeta said and gone. Pauline follows her with the stoller.

After 4,5 hours of searching finally they finished teir shopping. Eveybody was satisfieted with  their purchases and gone to the parking lot where Tom was waiting them. It was noom and everyone was hungry so they stop to eat. The five of them had a great time. They asked Tom some questions about where are their favourite places. When they finished their lunch they went back to Red Bank. All went to their bedrooms to arrange the new things they just bought.

In Red Bank was 20.00 that means in Greece was 04.00 and she couldn't talk to her friends so she dicided to take a shower and them go to sleep because she was too tired!

The days passed  pleasantly and they met an another family. They have two chldern one boy and one girl. Petter and Emma were equal with Pauline and Zeta. That was good for Pauline because Petter was a very handsome boy.  Unfortunately for Peter and fortunately for Pauline they would go to different schools.

It was end of June and the school starts on 10th of September and she had time but deep inside her she didn't wanted to start school without being with her friends  and this was more painful.

An evening with the instructions of Tom went to the center of town to buy some books to start be familiar with the language. In the main bookstore the eployer  was surprised of what she asked but then explained to her that is from Greece. People were more welcoming than she expected and she like it . Few blocks away she found the Starbucks, so, without losing a minute she went in and order an orange juise. After paying and went outside and crossed the street she found a bench and sat down.

Pauline's phone rung. It was Melina."Melina?" "Hey, Pauline what are doing?" "I'm fine! How about you? Amalia? Stefania?" "We're all good! Tell me where are you?" "I'm in the senter of Red Bank doing some shopping!" "What did you shop?" "I bought some books to read to get used the language because the shcool starts on 10th September!" "Nice" "What time is there?" "3 in the morning!" "What? Why are you up this time? Let me guess you're reading manga right?" "Yeah!" "I knew it!" "Right! Have you seen David, Jon, Richie and Tico? Or you're looking for them?" "No yet! I'm here not even a month." "Yes, you have the time!" "Yeah, but don't worry if i see any of them you'll be the first i'll call" "Ok! Now i gave to go i'll talk to you later! Tommorow when i'm in on facebook i'll talk to you and you answer me when you get in ok?" "Ok! Good night and sweet dreams!" "Good night!" she said and hung up the phone. She was so happy that she talked with Melina even for little time!

She got up from the bench and put her headphones on and start walking. She walked for a long time and is start to dark and thought it would be better to go home. She found the bus stop that Tom told her and wait for the bus. The bus wasn't late and she jump in and sut on a seat next to the window. The bus stop that she get down was 100 meters away for her house so she found the route to the center of Red Bank.

When she got home she showed the rest of the family the books she took. They ate all their dinner together and sat on the couch and watch TV. The time had passed and the two girls went to lie down after a short time followed by their parents.

Chapter 5: Privat Consert

Kostas got up from the couch and he went to open the door. "Hello! We are your new neighbors. Here is my wife Meredith and our daughter Susan. I'm Nick" "Hello, i'm Kostas and here is my wife Katerina. Come on in." Kostas said. "We love that but we have some things to do. Here i made you a pie with strawberries. I hope you like it" Meredith said."Thank you very much!" Kostas answered with the pie in his hands and he closed the door. "They are nice people" Katerina said. "Yeah, the good is that they brought something to eat because i'm started to hungry." "Juses Kostas we ate before 3,5 hours! Give it to me i'll take it to the kitchen." Kostas gave to Katerina the pie and she went to the kitchen."I'm gonna check out the kids" Katerina said and gone.

She opened the door of her younger daughter. "Zeta what are you doing?" "I'm reading a book. Do you want to do something?" "No, i just came to see if you're ok. By the way some neighbors just came and they gave us a pie with strawberries if you want something to eat is in the kitchen." "Ok, when i'm hungry i'll taste a piece! Now could you please leave because i'm in a very critical point and i want to read!" "Ok, i'm leaving " she said and left Zeta's room.

Pauline's turn. She went into her room and she found her in her bed with the headphones in her ears."Pauline putt them off of your ears!" "Ok, is something surious or...?" "No, our new neighbors came and gave us a pie with strawberries." "Ok" "Now, i'm leaving. See ya!" "Bye!" Katerina colsed the boor behind her and said " Strange things happens!"

19.30 in the afternoon. The whole family were out in the table by the pool and talked about various things until Zeta asked "Tomorrow will go shopping?" "Yeah!" Kostas repied. "Ok, i have to make a list with the things i need for my room!" "We'll shop things just for the house or and clothes?" Pauline asked. "For now things for the house. We have time for the clothes!" Kostas answered. "Ok, i'm going to make the list!" Zeta said and left the table. "Me too" Pauline said and left the table.

She went to her bedroom. "Let's see what we can to here!" she said. She went to her suitcase to pull out the Jovi posters she bring from Greece. There were not many because her mother doesn't like them and she put them or in the closet or behind the door. But this was going on in Athens! This was her room and she'll decorate whetever she want to. She took a poster and put it up from the desk. She did the same with the others.  She  made a very nice composition with the colors and after sizes of posters. "This is perfect!" she said excited. Then she took a notebook from her bag and tore a page. She  start to write pillows, candles,  office supplies and frames. This momment she remembe the picture Stefania took with her mobile phone. "Do not forget to print the photo!" said and wite it down with big capital letters. Then she remember the table in her balcony she must buy something for that too. She continue to write things for her bedroom. She looked at her phone 21.00. "I'll take a shower and then i'll go to eat something." said. When she fineshed her shower went downstairs. She went straight to the kitchen to taste the pie. She found it on the stoven and she sut down and ate a piece. "The pie is good Pauline?" Zeta asked. "Good is nothing it's perfect you should try one piece!" "Ok" she said and took one piece. "Mmm you're right is delicious! Did you plane something for tonight?" "No, i watch tv and then go to bed. Why are you asking?" "I was saying if we can sit in the balcony and you play the guitar because it's been ages since i hear you sing!" Pauline was amazed and she didn't expect the question from Zeta. "Sure if you want to. Come on let's go!" In milliseconds Zeta stood up and wate for Pauline. They went to Pauline's room and she took her acoustic guitar and sut out in the balcony.

"So which song you wanna hear?" " I want 'Dust in the wind' from Kansas!" "Done!" she said and started. The time passed and Zeta asked for more and more songs. "Now i want livin'!" "Which livin'?" "Livin' on a prayer Bon Jovi? You don't know it?" "Of course and i know it! But i didn't expect for you to ask this song!"  "Me too either but you sing it better that Jon!" "Aaa! Ok, thanks. Jon sings it pretty well too!" "I'll not comment that! Now we'll talk about for a long time?" "Ok ok don't get mad!" Pauline said and started the intro. "That was awesome! I've never hear you again sing it like that!" "Yeah? I don't really like it!" "Now i want Richie's 'Every road leads home to you'!"  "What? Every road? How do you know that is Richie's?" "I know it because i heard you trying to learn it and you couln't and you were mad! And i know that is Richie's because you listeng to it all day long!!" "Ok then..." 

Pauline finished with the last song and she looked her phone it was 23.50! "Come on enough with the private consert today! It's getting late!" "Yes, you're right! It was fun we should do that again!" "I'm glad you like it! Good night!" "Good night" Zeta said and gave a big hug to her sister and a bigger kiss and left her room. 

"Ok, Pauline enough with the rock star style go to sleep!" she said to herself and went to the bathroom to brush her teeth. When she was done she wear her pijamas and lied down in the bed. She fell asleep in the first minute. Tommorow will be very busy! 

Chapter 4: The New Life

The hours went by relatively quickly on the plane. Almost everyone was fell asleep. In 1,5 hour will arrive to NY. When they'll landing the time will be 07.00 am while in Greece will be 03.00 pm.

Zeta remember that Pauline wants to see the landing so she has to wake her up. "Pauline! Pauline! Pauline!" she said and esproschne her arm to wake up her. She get no answer. She tried 2-3 times but no responce." She is not waking up i have to do something more drastic!". she thought.

She approached her ear and said the two magic words. "BON JOVI" she whisperred to Pauline's ear. Pauline immediately wake up."Bon Jovi where?" "Nowhere i just said that to wake you up. I knew if i told anything else it would have the same effect. At least you're awake!" "Why did you wake up me? You're bored and mum and dad are sleeping and you didn't want to wake them up so you wake up me?" "Not exactly! The pilot said to the mic that in 1,5 hour will be in NY and i thought that you want to see the landing. So i wake you up!" "A, ok. Thank, come on let's change our seats!" "OK" 

They changes seats and Pauline put her headphones again and continue listening to music. She couldn't believe that she'll live in NJ!

"Maybe Bon Jovi make a consert in NJ! Sure they'll make one is their hometown. There's no doupt about it!" she thought.

Now she start worry about other things such as the school that would go would be all in English. She knew  English very well but this would be enough to understand the texts? Or she will not understand anything and would be embarrassed if the professor asked her something! Who would the children look like there? She would make any friends or nobody would pay atettion to her?

Very quickly she will understand that it is not  that way at all. She'll  make too many friends. Some of them will change her life forever.

After almost nine hours on the plane finally arrived in New York. There awaits them a man by name Tom Simson it was their driver.  Tom was with 2 other men Andy and Bryan who would take their bags. When we left the airport they found a black limo waiting for them outside. They walked in and dawdle the route to get home.

The ride was about 1 hour. Pauline gave a call to the girls like she had promised the night before. She said a few words how was her trip but they did not talk much because thee were in Greece and the phone was long distance and cost a fortune.

When she finished with her phone calls she saw a sign 'New Jersey' it was a little weird for her. She want time to understand it. She would have it! The school will start in 3 months she has the flexibility. They arrived at their home in Red Bank!

All four were with their mouths open! "We'll stay here?" Zeta asked. "Probably here" Kostas replied.

They walked in the hallway leading to the door and they opened it. The interior of the house was better than the outside. It had a huge living room with an equally large dining room. The floors were wooden and the paint on the walls was very soft and match with the billing with the furniture and floor. Left was the kitchen, the paradise of Katerina, she could stay there all her life. In the background were 3 guest-rooms  and a bathroom.

They went upstairs to find their rooms. The first room of the left was Zeta's. It was better and more bigger than that she had in Greece. The floor was wooden and it has a nice carpet in the middle of the room. There is also a big bed in middle of the left wall. Next top the bed was her office. There were too more doors. The first was an en-suite bathroom and the second was the wordrobe. The best place in her room was the balcony. The balcony has a view of the pool and the garden. It has a table with four chairs. She loved it!

The next bedroom of the left was Pauline's. She opened the door slowly without knowing what to expect.  Fortunately the decorator had reported was exactly as she wanted. Greater than she could ever imagine. The floor wooden as always. The paint on the walls were purple and gray. One of her favorite combinations. On the right wall in the middle was the bed. What abot the bed! Huge ... anxious to come at night to lie down. Beside the bed was left in her office. Big but empty like all the other rooms, she had to fill it with her own way. Opposite the bed was a closet and bathroom. The bathroom was  purple but white. With shower. She'll visited it later. Proceeded out into the balcony. It was one of the best views she has seen! The view was breathtaking! The pool and further behind the beach volley court just as she had asked! It was a paradise but only one thing missing... her friends.

In the hall was the parents' room! This was even more significant. Upon entering has a living room with a sofa and a fireplace front. Continues and enters the bedroom. A kind size bed is what steals the show! The bathroom is large and in red and black simply divine. On the balcony you can see the little garden and the  beach volley court! The house had the necessary. This means that tomorrow they had to go shopping!

It was about 10am not understand how quickly pass the time. Kostas and Katerina sat in the lounge and the two girls came down from upstairs. Came down the stairs one after the other,  Zeta front and Polina follow. They sat on the opposite couch."So what do you about our new house?" asked Zeta."It's fine! Than I had anticipated" said Katerina. "I agree with your mom!" replied Kostas. "Now what do you want to do? It's still 10.30am!" asked Pauline. "Go to get your bags and put the things in your place?" said Katerina. "Where are the suitcases?" asked Zeta. "The suitcases  are out of doors of your rooms! Tom just left them"  answered their mom. The girls got up and get upstais over their rooms. The things were in their places just in 2 hours.

Time was 12.45. Zeta came down and told her mom   "Mum, i'm hungry!Are we going out to eat anything?" "You're in my mind! Go and tell Pauline that we're going out for lunch!" "Ok, i'm on my way!" Zeta said and went upstairs to tell her sister. When Zeta inform Pauline both were downstairs where Tom was waiting them to went them where they want to. Since it was their first day in Red Bank and they didn't know nothing Tom went them to the mall to have  several dining options. Finally decided to eat in a fast food foond! When they finished their lunch they went to take a look at th shops.

They were at home at 16.30. Everybody went to their rooms. Pauline wanted to call her friend but in Greece was 8 in the morning and the girls were will sertanly sleeping. She has nothing to do so she take a nap!

Afternoon in Red Bank! All was peace and quiet! Until someone rang the bell.

Chapter 3: I Remember That Day

The airplane was just took off. Pauline was next to Zeta and back was Katerina with Kostas. Zeta was staring out of the window. Pauline put her headphones and pushed the play botton. The first song was 'All About Lovin You'. The fisrt line of the song is 'Looking at the pages of my life...'. So Pauline did what the lyrics said and started thinking the day that change their lives forver.

It was a day like all the others. Pauline got up in the morning and went to school. She was in school all morning. When the school day was over she came back to her house on foot just like she used to.

When she arrived at her house she heard her dad speaking very exited and it the first time in her life that she heard her dad speak like that! She went upstairs and she opened the door of the apartment . Here was her parents, her uncle and her grandparents. When she walked into the house everyone was speechless and then they start smiling at her."What is going on?" Pauline asked. "Look Pauline! I'll tell you calmy what happened." her dad answer." Dad was going on? Tell me, you're scearing me" she riplied. "No, honey don't be scared it's good" her dad answer. "Ok then! Could you please tell me now what the fuck is going on?" "Pauline watch out your language! I'm not your friend!" "Ok, sorry! But tell me now!" "Come and sit here next to me". Pauline did what her dad siad and she sut in the couch next to him.

"So, Pauline as you know i have some relatives in NY two cousins. The older cousin passed many years ago. The younger cousin passed yesterday! None of them have wifes or children. Today, a half and hour ago  someone called and told me all this. These two brothers had one of the best construction companies in New York and USA. And as i said before none had a family to inherit. I'm the one." her dad finished.

Pauline didn't believe what she just heard. "This means that we'll go and live there or you can stay here?" "That means we are going to go there and live there forever! Also, they asked me where we want to built our house. I didn't answer them, i wanted to talk about it all together." he paused  "I was thinkg about New Jersey. Because is close to New York and in New Jersey live many Greeks!" "Wow dad wait! You're telling me that you  heir a construction company in USA and we're going to move there. Plus we'll live in New Jersey?" Pauline asked. "Yeah, that's it!" "Ok, then. I don't have a huge problem it would be nice. Now call them and tell that we'll accept and the house will be in New Jersey! Plus i want a beach volley court and a swimming pool!" she said seriously.

"So, you don't have a problem that we'll leave Greece?" "Look dad, of course and i have but this is good for everyone. But promise me that we'll come here in the summer!" "Ok if that is only what you ask" her dad answer and gave her a hug.

Everyone in the room was suprised by Pauline's answer but she was too. She didn't think that she would reacte like that in something like this. Propably she start to grow up.

A few munites later Zeta arrived at home. This time mum announce to Zeta that they're moving. Zeta exited and she looking forward to going to New York. The only  thing was missing was to phone the lawyer and say that they accept the  the inheritance.

Kostas gave a call to Mr Johnson, the lawyer of the company. Mr Johnson was exited for their decision. He gave the 'ok' to start built the house. They also have to find a school and a volleyball team for the kids.

All this was arranged the next day without any delay! The following week came the invitation and had to prepare their paper and their VISA's otherwise they could not traveled.

The days passed by and Pauline had not tell her friend about it that's why she wanted to go out everyday in order to win some time to prepare. That day has arrived. The exams were just beggined.

They wrote the first subject maths,none of them liked it! Then, they went for a walk and sut in their favourite cafe and ordered.

"Girls, i want to tell you something but i don't know how. It's very severe!" Pauline opened the convertation." Come on tell it!" Stefania said and the others agreed with her. "Ok! When the exams are over i'm...i'm leaving." Pauline said. " So do i and i'll be back in September" Amalia siad. " Yeah, but i ain't going to my village and i ain't going back in September! I'm moving in New Jersey!" Pauline drop the bomb." You're moving? Are you fucking kidding us?" Melina asked. "No, is the truth. My dad inherited a construction company. We must be there by the and of June" Pauline answer sadly. "That's why we're going out everyday?" Amalia asked. "Yeah, that's why. But don't worry we have a month together!" Pauline tried to save it but the bomb was exploded.

For some munites none said anything till their order arrived. They drunk a sip form their coffee. "My coffee it's very nice!" Pauline said and tried to make them say something but none answer her. Pauline was understand them. It wasn't easy for them. "Now we'll be there without talking?" she asked "What do you expect from us to do? You're moving and we might not see you again!" Amalia answer a little aggresisve.

"I understand how you feel but is not the end of the world. We have phones, skype and facebook! We can talk whenever we want!" "Yeah but it would not be the same!" Melina said. "Melo i don't you to think like that! Do you think that is easy for my to go the other side of the world? Not even for me is the same without you. With who i'll play volley? How would tell me what is happened to the next chapters in Naruto and in One Piece? With who i'll talk about One Direction and Bon Jovi in the same time?" Pauline answered. The girls understood Pauline's situation.

"Pauline you're right! We wouldn't have to react like this. So what do you want to do?" "It's ok Stef! I don't want to do something different just have a walk. If you want to!" Amalia and Melina agreed. They pay the bill and left the cafe. None of them never tell anything about it!

The time had passed! They were over three hours on the plane and the sun was already in the sky. Pauline stopped the music and fell asleep.

Chapter 2: The Previous Day

On their way to the airport none of them said nothing everyone was immersed in their own thoughts. . Each of them think different things from each other.  Kostas thinking how things go in the new work. A job was not sure if he could make it but will try as much as possible for him and his family. "How will employees react to this change so fast? Would they like me?  Would they trust me at some time? I do not know what to expect anymore!!" thinking and began to sigh. But no one figured fortunately for him. In the backseat thoughts continue with the same pace.  Katerina thinking the same thing as almost everyone. "If i did not hit that day the phone we'll sleep now and we would not be so anxious about what was waiting us!  Why the phone rings? Why us? Why? Why??" thinking and began to sigh this but again no one noticed.

Between mom and Pauline, Zeta was sitting. It is the only one that did not interest them. She is 12 years old and in July would turn to 13. What can understand a 13 year old from such a huge change and its effects? It is the only who is sailing in seas of happiness!

First time on an airplane and even in Business Class! What else could she ask her life? For her all went perfectly. For only two things was sad. First, she will not be able to see her friends, Natalia, Nefeli and Lydia. Secondly, she will not see their relatives in the summer as they used to do every summer when schools was over.

In the next seat was sitting Pauline staring out the route to the airport. In her mind cames yesterday. Her friends had secretly organized a farewell surprise party! At the party had come all of their friends from school, the neighborhood and also Pauline's and Amalia's  teammates  from volleyball. They were lot of people.  But did not last long because we had to get ready and an early night because they were waking up tomorrow. After most people was gone, four girls were in the house Melina, Amalia Stefania and Pauline.

She met Melina in First Grade of Juniour High School a random day at school. That same year they met each onther again in a camp organized by the municipalities. Pauline when  saw her sitting alone went straight to talk to her hoping that she will remembered because they had only talked once. For good luck Melina had not forgotten her! How could forget that crazyness  Pauline has? She was impressed by the spontaneity and honest and it was these things that gain her from the first time she spoke to Pauline!

They matched almost immediately from the first month already told each other the story of their lifes, dreams, hopes and much more.

With Amalia things were diferent, they have a relantionship just lene Jon's and Richie's who understand what it says to each other with just a glance! They met randomly in the neighborhood park at age of 6 when they crushed both in the same column with their bikes! When schools a few days after it opened and went to first grade they met again and sat in the same school desk. This was done in the second and third grade and this continued until the third grade of Juniour High School in the same school desk in the same position! Something else they made together for many years has been to playing volleyball. First Amalia started it and after 2or 3 months Pauline joined her. Still remember their first day at practice but also their last. The first may someday forget her but definitely not the last! When he was on the court together and did what I enjoyed the most they forgot everything! It was the best duo in the team! This duo suddenly broke!

Stefania joined them in Jouniour High School. Amalia and Pauline have known her for years they were together all over the Primary! When they finished the Primary Stefania left. She came back 2 years later and she made the first surprise. The second surprise was by Pauline

The four girls were sitting in Pauline's room when Melina broke the silence "So we're all staying here facing each over without doing anything?" "Fine! What do you want to do then?" Amalia asked. " It's the time girls!" Stefania said looking at password Melina and Amalia. The girls known what Stefania meant. Only Pauline didn't get it and she looked them with a strange look."It's time for what?" she asked. "It's time to give you your presents!" they said all together."Present? For what? You know that i don't have birthday today, right?" Pauline said. " Yeah we know that it's not your birthday today. But when your birthday comes we can't give you your present because you'll ne in USA and espacially in NJ and we would not  be able to give you your present so here is mine! I hope you like it!" Melina said and gave her a little bag. "Thank you but is not necessary!".

She opened slowly and what to see? It was a Heart & Danger neckless! She was speechless did not know what to say she had lost her words. She just hug her tightly without saying a word.  Melinda did not misunderstood, she was waiting   this reaction because she knew that Pauline did not expect this. When they brock apart Pauline put on her neck the necklace! It looks perfect on her it was like it was disighed for yer." I promise i would not put this away whetever will happens!" Pauline said. "I'm sure about that!" said Melina and smiled. 

"Ok children we don't want this to take 100 years!" said Amalia. ¨ Well, it took almost 10 years  to make it, i hope you like it!" Amalia continue and she gave her a bag. She put her hand in the bag and it was an photo album." You get me a photo album and it took 10 years to made it?" "Just open it and you'll see!" Pauline opened the photo album and she looked in the first picture. It was her with Amalia eating ice-cream. She move on to the next picture. Christmass in the first grade togethre againe. She passed the other pictures quickly. She stopped in a picture, they were together holding the throphy they just won! It was the final match they were 1 point ahead. The opposing team had service. The score was 2-2 sets of 14-13. If they get  this points will be awarded the championship. Pauline was the team capten and she'll give everything she has to win this. She agreed with Amalia without saying a word. They both know what they have to do.And they did it, they win the set and the match!

The last page was empty. "What we'll put here?" Pauline asked. "I'll take you a picture!" Stefania said. "Come on take my mobile" Pauline answer. Stefania took them a picture. "I'll keep that and i'll print it when i get there. Thank you thought" she said. "It's ok! At least when you feel alone you can take a look and you wouldn't be alone anymore!" Amalia said and smiled.

"And now ladies and gentleman the last present for today..." Melina said pointing Stefania and she gave her the present. It was very small and light. She was wandering what will be. She opened. Aftermath Of The Lowdown. Richie's latest solo album! Richie was her favourite member of Bon Jovi. This doesn't mean that she didn't like the others but Richie has something. Something that David, Jon and Tico didn't have. She don't really know what is was this 'something' but she didin't care!

One more time Pauline was no for words! "You're kidding me? Oh my 'Sambo'!!" Pauline said exited. "No, i'm not kidding! It's all yours! You remember the present you gave me in my birthday. I have to give you something like that. So, here you are!" " Thank you! I..I don't know what to say! You got me!" Pauline said. "You don't have to say anything. Just when you're in tha airport give us a call to know you're safe and sound in NY!" Amalia said. " Melina i would call at home  because you don't know where you mobile is or it would have o battery or you wouldn't know where is it!" Pauline joked. "No, you can call me at my mobile. If i pick it up one time it wouldn't be the end of the world!" Melina answer laughing.

The time had pasted and the girl had to leave. They hugged and kissed for last time and left Pauline's house.

With all these thoughts in mind arrived at the airport and parked. They took their bags and go to make check-in. After they took the tickets and leaded to the door 'Business Class'. They get on the plane and they made themselfs comefortable at their seats. Now, they are waiting to take off the plane.

Chapter 1: Saying Goodbye

Today Pauline's family wake up early in the morning. It was a day that none never expect would come....

They move out! They don't change house, or neighborhood not even town but country! Nothing would be the same for all but much more for Pauline.

02.00 a.m. time in Greece. Katerina,the mum, wake up first. She get dressed and she went to the bathroom to wash her face. After washing her face she gave a quick look to Pauline's room, she was sleeping. She also check out and her younger daughter's room who she sleeping too.

She went to the kicthen and made coffee and sut down in a chair. After drinking 2-3 sips of her coffee she heard footsteps, it was her hasband Kostas."Good morning" he said and make himself a coffee. "Good morning Kostas. How did you slept?" "Pretty good! You?" " Not too good i was turning around but in the end i fall asleep" she said watching her hasband.

Some time pasted without saying anything. They waiting the time to pass to wake up their children. The silence was broken by Katerina."Kosta are we sure about this? I mean is a big step for us and for our children." "When i told you i know it wouldn't be easy but we can make it because we are together. Plus we can't to nothing now.It's too late!" "Yeah, you're right we can to this".

A few minutes after Zeta joined her parents in the kitchen."Good morning mum. Good morning dad!" "Good morning Zeta, did you slept well?" her dad asked." Fine, better than i thought. You?" "Perfect!" he said with a smile in his face.

Katerina didin't said anything she was lost in his thoughts...It was a big change for her and she didn't like changes at all." Is too hard for, i can not believe it. Kostas is right we can do this, we are all together..."

She stop thinking the decision has already taken. One more time that silence was broken by Katerina."Zeta go and wake up your sister is 02.20 at 03.00 we must be in the car." "Ok mum i'm going" was her answer.

She get up of the couch and went to Pauline's room. She found her there sleeping. She sut down next to her and wispered at her ear."Pauline is 02.20 come on wake up! We'll miss our flight! Come on! GET UUPP!" 

Pauline opened her eyes and she saw her sister sitting next to her." Good morning Zeta!" she told her with a smile in her face."Good morning! Aaa, i'm so happy! We're going to NY! We're going to NY" she yelled and start jumping around the room. Pauline was still in her bed and she thought " Who has the power in 02.30 in the morning to dance? And now we're moving is this good or bad? I don't get this girl!"

She get off the bed and went to the bathroom to wash. Zeta was as always behind her.

"Dou you know that the flight is almost 9 hours?" she asked her while Pauline was washing her face." Yeah, of course and i know. I feel a little weird you know how is the first time you get on a plane!" she answer and 

continue combing her dark brown hair. "Yes, you're right but it would be fun. Dad told me that there are lots of movies we can watch!" Zeta said excited." I've never thought of that! Ohh, you can seat first next to the window for takeoff and then. I prefere the landing!" she said and went to her room to wear her clothes." Really?" "Yeah, you wanting so much and i can't say no to you!" she answer wearing her jean. "Thank you very much" "It's ok" Pauline answer and she put a t-shirt and a jacket." Come on, let's go to the kitchen" she said and went to the kicthen where mum and dad were sitting.

"Good morning mum and dad!" she said and gave them a kiss to their cheeks." You sleep well?" her mum asked. "Yeah, i sleep very well! Almost perfect." Pauline said and she drunk her milk." Well dome Pauline" dad said with a big smile.

After all that it was 02.45 they must say goodbye to their house and get in the car and go to the airport for the big trip. When all was finished their coffee and milk they checked the house for last time.

"Pauline come on uncle Nick is waiting in the car!" her mum yelled. "Ok i'm coming" was the answer.

She was at her room for last time. She wanted to leave... and with a destination like this! She was in the cloud nine. USA was her favourite country. She likes the way of their living. She always wanted to go on holiday but she never thought living here the rest of her life. She took a deep breath and with her acoustic guitar in her hand she said goodbye to ther room and the rest of the house. She  descended the stairs with the guitar in her left hand. In the end of the stairs her dad was witing.

When she descende the outdoor stairs of the house  her dad asked."Are you ready?" She didin't answer him quickly and that made him worry."Yes, i'm ready" tuned and daid with confident in her look. She get in the car with her mum and her younger sister.

The dad shut in the passenger seat. In the driver seat was Katerina's brother, Nick, who would take them to the airport.When everyone had settled in their positions he put forward the engine and took the road that it has not coming back...
